LEE COUNTY, Fla. - We have brand new details in Friday night's fiery wreck on I-75 in Lee County.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was traveling south when it blew a tire. The driver lost control, hit the guard rail, flipped and ended up in the northbound lanes, just south of Luckett Road.

The crash report says two people were pulled from that vehicle before it became fully engulfed in flames. The driver, 64-year-old Bernardino Perez and his passenger, 56-year-old Maria Rodriguez Espinosa, both of Tampa, were taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.

The report says Perez suffered serious, potentially life threatening injuries. We checked with Lee Memorial Saturday afternoon and Perez was listed in fair condition.
