FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police are still on the hunt for whoever broke into a woman's home and sexually assaulted her while a child was hiding in the home. They have increased the reward in this case to $5,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

The home invasion happened at the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and Van Buren Street.

FMPD released surveillance of the suspect's car, hoping someone will come forward with information about the man. The video came from a neighbor's security camera and shows what is believed to be the suspect's car. Police said it's a newer model white four-door Toyota Camry with no window tint.

In the video, you can see the vehicle pull up to the victim's house, according to police, around 10:30 a.m. yesterday. The man reportedly entered the victim's home and attacked her while a 3-year-old hid elsewhere in the home.

The suspect is described as a man of medium height and build with dreadlock-style hair and a green t-shirt.

A neighbor said that man actually ransacked his sister's home first, and now she's fearful that he's still on the loose.

Anyone with information is asked to call SWFL Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
