TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - A Tampa Police officer who drove a woman accused of killing her teens to the jail in January of 2011 described her as jovial.

Officer Fred Arnold took the witness stand Wednesday afternoon in the trial of Julie Schenecker. Arnold said the woman "wasn't sad or anything like that."

Prosecutors on Wednesday rested their case. Judge Emmett Battles has given the jury Thursday off, and the trial will resume Friday with the defense presenting its case.

The 53-year-old is charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors say she shot and killed her 16-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son.

Defense attorneys say Schenecker has suffered from bipolar disorder and depression.
