OCALA, Fla.- Flags at all Florida Highway Patrol facilities will be flying at half-staff to honor a trooper killed while responding to a crash.

Governor Rick Scott is ordering the move to honor Chelsea Richard. The nine-year veteran will be laid to rest this afternoon in Ocala.

Trooper Richard died last weekend when a truck lost control and hit her on the side of the road. She was responding to a separate accident at the time.

Flags will fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset.
