LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A federal jury rejected a lawsuit from a Lee County man claiming $2 million in damages against Sheriff Mike Scott and a detective.

The lawsuit stemmed from the 2010 arrest of Fred Kobie III. He was arrested on charges of vehicle grand theft, fraud, making a false report and owning a chop shop.

Kobie claimed he was arrested and imprisoned without probable cause, and that Sheriff Scott didn't train his detective properly.
