LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The North Fort Myers couple, behind the making of hundreds of child pornography videos found at a Cape Coral Walmart, will now spend a combined 80 years behind bars.

"You of all people should have known better."

Final words from a federal judge, to Jennifer Sparks as she was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Sparks plead guilty to forcing a 4 year old girl into making hundreds of pornographic images/videos over 30 days.

The couple picked her up from Orlando, after convincing her mother to let her stay with her.

Her attorney says Sparks was sexually abused as a child.

"Rather than making her more protective of minors, I think it had the opposite effect, making her think sex with a minor was a normal circumstance, not an abberation," said Burt Stutchin.

Stutchin says Spark's boyfriend, Alan Johnson, coerced her into the crime.

"She is borderline mentally retarded. she was psychologically tested and has low self worth," said Stutchin.

Johnson is a repeat offender, already convicted of child porn in 2003.
But the state and his attorney from Lee County Court, disagree, saying this wasn't the act of just one man.

"They believe Sparks, don't know if you want to call it the aggressor, was the instigator," said James Ermacora.

Both Sparks and Johnson apologized in court, telling the judge they were sorry.
Johnson even breaking down in tears.

"I's horrendous and it's sad," said Stutchin.

Sparks and Johnson were also charged by the State Attorney's Office. Sparks is still awaiting trial there. If convicted, she could face life in prison.

Johnson plead guilty to his crimes last week. He will be sentenced on May 19th. His deal gives him 30 years.
