Gina Birch joined us live in the studio Sunday morning to talk about what's happening around town today and some Cinco de Mayo events tomorrow.

In honor of Cinco de Mayo there is a Best Dressed Chihuahua Contest today at Fleamasters Fleamarket. Proceeds benefit the Paws for Patriots and Southeaster Guide Dogs, the contest is in the Music Hall portion of Fleamasters beginning at 1:30. There is a $10 Entry fee for Dogs, 239-334-7001 for more information.

WINK News Meteorologist Katie Walls is hosting a Lionfish Fest, Feast on the Beast. Some of the areas top chefs will be competing to come up with unique and original dishes using Lionfish, a beautiful non-native fish that has become a deadly predator to native species. There will also be an auction and entertainment, and it benefits the Heights Foundation and Lee Reef's Marine Management Fund. It's Sunday from 2-5 p.m., at The Heights Center on Gladiolus Drive in Fort Myers, $50 at the door, kids under 12 free.

The 3rd Annual International Food Festival at Mercato Shops in Naples also happens Sunday. You can sample international cuisine from mall restaurants and listen to live music, kids activities like a chalk walk and bounce house. It's from 12-4 p.m. and admission is free but food will cost a few bucks.

There are two block parties for Cinco de Mayo on Monday, one in downtown Fort Myers and one at the Bell Tower Shops. The downtown Fort Myers Block Party is from 4pm-2am with three stages of entertainment. The Block Party at The Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers will have eating contests, Nacho LIbre look-a-like contest, free sombrero's, a kids corner and more from 4-9 p.m.
