TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - A jury could be seated soon in the trial of a Tampa mother accused of killing her two children.

Julie Schenecker is accused of killing her 16-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son in 2011. The 53-year-old is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

It's taken four days so far to find 12 jurors and four alternates. Defense attorneys, prosecutors and Hillsborough County Judge Emmett Battles have questioned dozens of potential jurors.

Many of the potential jurors have expressed grief over the two children Schenecker is accused of murdering.

On Thursday, lawyers asked the potential jurors if they knew anyone with mental illness and how they felt about the insanity defense.

Schenecker's attorneys plan on using an insanity defense, saying the mother and military wife suffered from profound mental illness.
