FORT MYERS, Fla.- "Why did he do it? Is there something bad that he did? Who knows? Hopefully he doesn't stay here."

More than a hundred thousand dollars allegedly skimmed by a worker at Dunbar Armored Services. According to an arrest report, obtained by WINK News, the cash was supposed to go to this Bank of America on San Carlos Boulevard. But detectives said the suspect, Walter Elien, had another idea. A manager at Dunbar told deputies he noticed the 24 year old acting strange on Monday. He even "observed Elien place an additional money bag into his tote" then load it into his truck.

But that made never made it to the bank. Collier County deputies said they found a large duffel bag, stuffed with cash "in the defendant's bedroom." WINK News went to Elien's apartment, his roommate answered but chose not to speak with us. Neighbors said they're stunned.

"What if something would have happened there? Something gone bad?"
