LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested 24-year-old Walter Elien yesterday for allegedly stealing $114,000 from his employer, Dunbar Armored Services.

Detectives met with Dunbar Armored Services managers, who informed them that the funds were supposed to have been delivered to a Bank of America location on Monday, but the wrong amount had been dropped off. While conducting their internal investigation, the managers said that Elien, who had been assigned to the vault for the day, was acting strangely.

Detectives interviewed Elien, at which time he confessed, according to his arrest report. The Collier County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant of Elien's residence and found a large duffle bag of money in his bedroom. The amount was consistant with what had been stolen from the company. He remains in custody at the Lee County Jail for Grand Larceny.
