LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Lee County robbery detectives are on the hunt for two men that committed an armed home invasion robbery yesterday on the 5200 block of Lee Street at 9:40 a.m.
The victim said there was a knock at the front door. When he opened the door, an unknown male stated that his vehicle had broken down and asked to use the phone. The victim retrieved a phone, but when he attempted to hand it over, the suspect produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim.
Another suspect appeared and the two proceeded to ransack the residence, stealing televisions, DVD players and video games. The suspects then fled in an SUV.
Police said the first suspect is described as a black male in his mid to late 20s, with a long goatee, wearing a red shirt and black pants. The second suspect was wearing a mask but was described as being approximately 25-30 years old. He was wearing a black shirt and camouflage pants.
