COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Collier County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 20-year-old Immokalee man in connection with the carjacking and vehicle pursuit this morning.

Kenneth Pray faces charges of carjacking, high-speed fleeing and eluding and driving on a suspended license.

Deputies arrested Pray after he led them on a pursuit in the stolen vehicle in Immokalee. The vehicle rolled over at the intersection of Bethune Avenue and South 5th Street, where he was apprehended by deputies. He was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Once released he will be booked into the Collier County jail.

Deputies said a 66-year-old woman was walking to her vehicle in the parking garage, 3355 U.S. 41 E., shortly before 10:00 a.m., when she was approached by a man. The man struck her in the head and demanded her vehicle. He then took the woman’s keys and fled in her vehicle.

The woman received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, deputies said.
