CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Achieva Credit Union is hosting its first annual AchievAlympics and Chili Blast Saturday, April 26 at Four Freedoms Park in Cape Coral.

The event is raising money for local classrooms through The Foundation for Lee County Schools.

There are still openings to register your team in the field competition. Activities include: Volley Toss, Sack Race & Cornhole Toss, Dizzy Egg Run, Laundry List Relay, Chariot Race, Treasure Hunt, Classic Relay Challenge, and Kayak Relay.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. with an invocation, national anthem, and presentation from the North Fort Myers High School color guard. Teams wanting to register last-minute can arrive around 10 a.m. to do so. There can be between 5 and 10 members per team, and all ages are welcome.

Field games start at 11:30.

Also at 11:30, the Chili Zone will open. Teams will compete in the categories of Family Favorite, Spicy, and Unique Taste. You can pay $5 to taste and judge.

The event will also feature: Kayak Grudge Match, which is $5 per person, Balloons, Face Painting, Live DJs, refreshments for purchase, a vendor expo and bounce house.

At 2:45, awards will be presented.
