Lee County, FL. - The polls are now closed in a special election primary to replace U.S. Rep. Trey Radel.

Curt Clawson is leading in the first Collier results according to Florida Election Watch. These results represent early voting and absentee ballots only.

Radel recently resigned after being arrested for buying cocaine.

The winner of Tuesday's special election in the solidly Republican 19th District will face a Democrat and Liberatarian candidate for a special general election on June 24.

The four candidates in Tuesday's primary are: Lizbeth Benacquisto, a 46-year-old state senator; Curt Clawson, a 54-year-old former CEO of an aluminum wheel company; Michael Dreikorn, a 52-year-old aerospace and defense consultant; and Paige Kreegel, a 55-year-old physician.
