LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A gang of crooks breaking into cars in Lee County. They're in and out in a matter of minutes. A homeowner tells WINK News a key detail about those guys really makes him worried that you could be the next target.

Thieves caught on camera breaking into 3 cars at this home on Jayview Avenue.

"I was able to capture them coming from the street, going into other cars, carrying flashlights, watching them opening the door, reaching inside, picking stuff out" said Andy Jankowski.

The break ins happened Wednesday just before 3 a.m. Jankowski said his family noticed things missing from their cars and that's when he decided to look at his surveillance video.

Jankowski said, "it's a night vision infrared camera and at night there's about 75 LEDs that glow on that thing so you really cant miss it."

He said that camera clearly didn't phase these burglars. "They didn't even notice it, cause it didn't look like they were even sneaking. They were not hiding, they weren't anything, they were a little too comfortable with it which is really concerning, kinda worried me a little bit."

Jankowski  said he turned his video over the Lee County Sheriff's Office and WINK News hoping some one recognizes the crooks. "We're hoping to get these people of the streets."

Detectives really need your help.

So, if you have any information about those breakins call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
