FORT MYERS, Fla. -- While conducting a "roundup" of suspected drug dealers, Fort Myers police arrested 13 people in ongoing pursuit to get ride of street level drug sales.

Undercover drug purchases were made from 28 suspected drug dealers, which lead to 61 felony charges. Eleven of the suspects are listed as "Habitual Felony Offenders."  The majority of sales took place throughout the city of Fort Myers, some near schools, parks and churches.   

The following suspects were arrested:

  • Devon Wren, 23: two counts sale of MDMA and two counts of possession of MDMA. Released on $13,000 bond.
  • Charles Dorris, 53: four counts sale of heroin and four counts of possession of heroin.Hel on $245,000 bond.
  • Richard Campbell, 44: two counts sale of cocaine and two counts possession of cocaine. Held on $106,500 bond.
  • Rodrick Paisley, 38: one count sale of cocaine and one count possession of cocaine. Bond n/a
  • Sonja Joyner, 32: two counts sale of cocaine and two counts possession of cocaine. Released on $6,500 bond.
  • Tiffany Presley, 32: two counts sale of cocaine and two counts possession of cocaine. Released on $13,000 bond.
  • Lawrence Franklin, 67: two counts sale of cocaine and two counts possession of cocaine. Held on $80,000 bond.
  • Lorenzo Felix, 47: two counts sale of cocaine and two counts possession of cocaine. Held on $96,000 bond.
  • Brandt Rice-Henry, 52: four counts sale of cocaine and four counts possession of cocaine. Held on $240,000 bond.
  • Kizzie Baker, 35: two counts sale of cocaine and two counts possession of cocaine. Held on $100,00 bond.
  • Johnny Thortnton, Jr., 23: two counts sale of cocaine and two counts possession of cocaine. Held on $40,000 bond.
  • Calvin Mitchell, 22: two counts sale of cocaine and two counts possession of cocaine. Held on $210,000 bond.
  • Jimmy Whitfield, 41: one count sale of cocaine and one count possession of cocaine. Released on $90,000 bond.

Detectives and officers will continue their efforts to locate the remaining 15 suspects and will be following up on the investigations.

This operation was preceded by two search warrant investigations on April 15th, 2014. The first was at 1017 Marsh Avenue apartment 407

At 9:30 a.m. the Special Investigations Group, with the assistance of SWAT and uniformed officers, conducted search of the apartment based on information gathered by detectives after they made undercover drug purchases at the residence over two month period.

At the apartment, detectives seized one gram of cocaine and two grams of marijuana. Detectives arrested Sebastian Moore, 46 for possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. He was released on $2,500 bond.

The second search warrant was served at 1546 Live Oak Drive on the same day at 2:15 p.m.  At the residence, the team seized approximately three grams of heroin, scales, packaging material and cutting agents used to process heroin, a .22 caliber handgun.
