DESOTO COUNTY, Fla.- The Arcadia man accused of setting his own dog on fire has pled not guilty.

A judge set Larry Wallace's bond at $7,500 for arson and $1,000 for animal cruelty. He will not be allowed to own any pets or be around any pets.

In court this afternoon, Wallace's landlord said that he was good to the dog.

Wallace denied any wrongdoing.

He allegedly set "Hope," a mixed breed dog, on fire last month in Arcadia.

Today, "Hope" is recovering at a Tampa area clinic, and still has burns to nearly 70 percent of her body.
