FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla.- Lee County plans on buying land for a new park and ride facility on Fort Myers Beach.

Commissioners voted unanimously to spend $786,000 to buy five and a half acres of land near Summerlin Square Drive. The area will serve as a new place for people to park and take a trolley to the beach.

The county had to give up it's former location because a large Walmart is going to be built on the land.
