PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Some Florida Panhandle residents say they are fed up with the rowdy chaos of spring break.

The News Herald (http://bit.ly/1eshnnE) reports that many Panama City Beach residents spoke out against spring break during a recent city council meeting.

The residents said they want tougher ordinances to curtail massive spring break gatherings.

They also said that the atmosphere has become too chaotic and that they are tired of negative publicity from spring break incidents.

Law enforcement leaders have drafted recommendations such as banning drinking on the beach and closing bars earlier during spring. The city has not yet acted on the recommendations.
