CAPE CORAL, Fla. - The Cape Coral Fire Department and Police are investigating the discovery of a body along a seawall in the Caloosahatchee River. The body was found a short time ago off of S.E. 28th Street. 

At around 4:35 PM, Cape Coral Police, Fire and EMS responded to a call of a possible drowning at the 2500 block of SE 28th St., near the Everest Boat Ramp.  A boater who was unloading his boat from a day on the water found a person who was unconscious and not breathing, floating in the water by a seawall.

Responding units quickly determined that the person was deceased. Patrol, Detectives, and Forensics units responded to the scene. Investigators are able to confirm that the decedent is David Claude Siwarski of 1423 SE 27th Street Cape Coral, FL.  Siwarski is the Cape Coral man who went missing late Friday Night.

The death investigation is ongoing and foul play is not suspected at this time.
