FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police are investigating a report of a suspicious person after a boy said a man offered him and his sister money on the way to the bus stop.

At 7:42 a.m., police responded to the area of Evans Avenue and Carrell Road, and made contact with an adult who said her 10-year-old grandson was just approached by an unknown male in front of the Sunterra Apartment complex, located at 3541 Evans Avenue.

The boy said he was walking his younger sister to the bus stop when a man driving a black pickup truck approached and offered him $2. When the children refused, the truck drove away northbound and the kids ran home.

The suspect is further described as having a short haircut and gold upper teeth. The male also had a tattoo across his neck. The child said the truck was possibly a Dodge.
