COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- The Collier County Sheriff's Office is hosting two community events to help prevent the public from becoming victims of identity theft.

The events, titled: “Identity Theft: Tips To Reduce Your Risk Of Becoming A Victim,” are free and open to the public.

The first is set for 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., Monday, April 21 at the North Naples Fire Control & Rescue District training center, located at 1855 Veterans Park Drive.

The second is set for Thursday, May 1, 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the Jewish Family & Community Services center, located at 5025 Costello Drive.

At both events, Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk will present identity fraud safety information, along with co-presenter Carrie Kerskie, an identity theft expert and private investigator. Kerskie is author of the book, “Your Public Identity: Because Nothing Is Private Anymore.”
