FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police are searching for a man accused of sexual battery.

Yesterday at 8:29 p.m., police attempted to locate 37-year-old Idelfonso Santana-Grajales at 3947 Lora Street. He has an active open booking sheet for a sexual battery offense that originally occured on March 7.

Officers confronted the suspect last night at the residence and he immediately fled into a wooded area, near the intersection of Bell Street and Van Buren Street, off Palm Beach Boulevard.

Police quickly set up a perimeter and began to track Santana-Grajales with K-9 units and the aviation unit. At this time, the suspect remains at large.

The original offense was an isolated incident, and FMPD does not consider Santana-Grajales a threat to the public.
