HENDRY COUNTY, Fla.- A Moore Haven woman faces vehicular homicide charges after a fatal accident that happened last April on US 27 at CR 720.

Berta Villafuerte, 27, was booked into the Glades County Jail Thursday. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, she's responsible for hitting the vehicle that

37-year-old Martha Pardo and three others, including two small children, were riding in. Martha Pardo was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the

vehicle during the crash. Villafuerte also had a passenger in the vehicle she was driving, who sustained minor injuries. The crash report said Villafuerte did not

see the victims' vehicle ahead of her, until it was too late to avoid the collision.
