COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Collier County deputies want everyone to be on high alert, after a fifth home invasion in Collier County in less than two months.

"We're still following up on leads, from last month and from this last night. we're working with multiple law enforcement agencies in a coordinated effort," said Sgt. Mark Williamson with the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

The most recent crime happened inside the gated community of Quail West. According to the incident report obtained by WINK News, three men stormed into a home on Groveland Terrace, armed with guns, demanding cash and jewelry. Then restraining the five victims inside. Mark Gabel, Owner of Safe adn Sound, a local security company, sadi he thinks these suspects are professionals.

"The fact that they're not leaving any evidence, the fact that they're using firearms which says they're not afraid to use violence. But they haven't used violence with the firearms," said Gabel.

And it's keeping officers busy. Since February, homes have been targeted as far north as North Naples, out into Golden Gate, and south to Naples Bay. WINK News did some digging and found another similar case on Christmas Even in Fort Lauderdale where homeowners were tied up and robbed in their apartment. I asked the Collier County Sheriff's Office if it's working with agencies on the east coast of Florida.

"We're still following all possible leads, it would be too early to say one way or another."

"Unfortunately it sounds like they haven't been scared off yet," said Gabel.
