According to his arrest report, Deputy Simeon Harrynarine of the Hendry County Sheriff's Office was found on the side of the interstate in Punta Gorda with a woman and a witness, who had been driving nearby.
The witness called 911 and reported that he was with a woman who was bleeding from her face, who claimed to have been beaten by the man she had been riding with.
Deputies arrived on the scene and found Harrynarine with his car, off the side of the road, with blood on his sleeve.
According to the report, the woman was standing with the witness at another vehicle nearby. The woman was crying and bleeding from a laceration in the middle of her face. She also had blood on her clothing.
