CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.- Charlotte County detectives are working multiple vehicle burglaries in which unlocked vehicles are being entered and small, loose items are being taken.

Several unlocked vehicles parked on streets off Foresman Blvd. in Englewood, have been entered during overnight hours. GPS units and a purse were taken.

Detectives in the Port Charlotte area are working at least eight nighttime vehicle burglaries that occurred on streets in an area bounded by Veterans Blvd., Hinton Street, Peachland Blvd., and Vannell Street. In those cases, GPS units, electronics, wallets and small change were taken.

Similar overnight burglaries of unlocked vehicles have taken place in the Deep Creek area at seven homes located on streets in the area of Rampart Blvd. and Rio de Janeiro Avenue. Electronics, purses, wallets and jewelry were taken in those cases.
