COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- It's been non-stop business along 5th Avenue South.

"It's been very busy for season obviously."

Megan Haines manages Little Luxe, the children's clothing store right in the center of 5th.

"We have our regulars that come in, we have referrals who come as well, and then a lot of tourists who are coming especially from meals like before dinner, after dinner, the lunchtime."

She said she noticed the foot traffic ends about halfway down the street.

"Definitely more to the east, that's where most of the restaurants are, the nightlife especially," said Haines.

But restaurant owner, Milos Simovic said there has been some changes to the street.

"There were a lot more vacant open spaces down here."

Just this year, what had been empty store fronts are now open for business. A new interior design shop opened just this past January. And next door, Joseph Wendt Custom Clothiers moved from the Naples Bay Resort to the avenue, drawing more people to the western side of 5th.

"I think that people keep coming this way. Every year more and more which is amazing," said Simovic.

And new numers show February was another record month for tourism. The Tourist Development Council said compared to last February, not only is the number of visitors up, but they spent more money this year as well.
