COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- A Collier County judge officially signed off on Mesac Damas' incompetence to stand trial because of mental illness.

Damas is accused of killing his entire family in 2009 before fleeing to Haiti.

Two doctors gave their opinion saying Damas was incompetent to stand trial, and now the judge has agreed with them.

Damas now has to go to a state mental hospital, and could face trial, if he's ever found competent to do so.
