BONITA SPRINGS, FL - A man who says he was waiting for traffic to clear before exiting a Publix shopping center says he got the suprise of his life when the motorist behind him reached in his car and slapped him. Stephen Jones says he had just pulled his car out of a parking space and made his way to the end of the parking aisle when he stopped to wait for cross traffic to clear. He says shortly thereafter he heard someone behind him aggressively blowing their horn at him. He says a man in the car, got out of the passenger door and approached his pick up truck on the passenger side and began yelling at him. Then he says a woman, later identified as 61 year old Eileen Nemeroff, allegedly got out of her vehicle, screamed obsenities at him and then slapped him across the face for not moving fast enough to exit the parking lot. Jones got out of his car and he says, as Nemeroff and her husband drove over the curb to get away, he snapped a photo of their license plate and called Lee county deputies. Nemeroff was arrested and charged with burglary and assault. Jones says he is still shocked that someone would do that.
