CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Cape Coral Police say one man is dead after being struck by a motorcycle Friday night. They've identified the victim as 60-year-old Joseph Dellifranci.

Around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Cape Coral Police say Dellifranci was crossing Cape Coral Parkway near Coronado. That's when motorcyclist Leslie Foreman, 57, struck Dellifranci.

Police say Foreman was thrown from his bike, which continued to travel until it hit a truck, drive by Thomas Bivona. Bivona tells WINK News he suffered neck and back injuries. He was released from the hospital the next day.

Dellifranci's family tells WINK News the former health club salesman often crossed Cape Coral Parkway at night. They say he frequently walked from his apartment to the drugstore across the street, despite their concerns about his safety.

"I said, 'Joey don't go over there.' I said, 'A car is going to hit you,'" said Janet Dellifranci, his mother.

Dellifranci's parents say anyone wanting to honor his memory can donate to ICAN, Island Coast Aids Network, which is a cause close to the family.

Investigators say alcohol and drugs are not a factor in the crash.

At last check, Foreman was listed in critical condition.
