NORTH PORT, Fla.- North Port Police arrested 32-year-old Yerko Del Toro Fagundo and 35-year-old Ledian Cabrera Garcia yesterday, after discovering a grow house operation at a home on Camelot St.

During an investigation into illegal drug activity, detectives observed a Silver Honda SUV towing a black trailer leave the residence of 5016 Camelot Street. Detectives witnessed the suspect vehicle run a stop sign at the intersection of Delcris Place and Toledo Blade Blvd., where they requested the assistance of a uniformed patrol officer.

A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle where our K-9 Officer alerted on the trailer that was being towed. Subsequent to the K-9 alert, officers conducted a search of the trailer where they located cannabis and other items associated with a marijuana grow operation.

Detectives obtained and executed a search warrant for the residence of 5016 Camelot Street.

Inside the residence, detectives located approximately 80 pounds of harvested cannabis drying. The residence appeared to have been converted to grow cannabis in the bedrooms of the home.

Del Toro Fagundo and Cabrera Garcia face charges of Selling, Manufacturing and Possession with Intent to Sell a Control Substance, Trafficking in Cannabis over 25 Pounds or 300 or More Plants, and Possession of Marijuana More Than 20 Grams.
