COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - It’s fair time again in Collier County. The 38th annual Collier County Fair brings eleven days of carnival rides, games, food, entertaining shows and livestock exhibits to the fairgrounds.

The Collier County Fair board of directors will be celebrating the grand opening with a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. Thursday.

This year’s fair theme is Salute to Our Heroes, and there will be providing ticket specials throughout the week to support the heroes in Southwest Florida. Specials include military appreciation night, first responder’s night, teacher appreciation night.

During the last three decades the Collier County Fair has raised funds to support the Make A Wish Foundation, American Cancer Society, Humane Society, Blood Mobile, 4-H Youth, Collier County Public Schools, St. Matthews House, Harry Chapin Food Bank, and the Life’s “Not” Fair Foundation.

The last day of the fair is Sunday, March 23.
