COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Another home invasion robbery in an upscale Naples neighborhood, where police found the victims tied up in their home and the suspects on the run. This happened on the 1200 block of Osprey Trail in Naples. Police want to know if this robbery and three others in Collier County are connected.
When police arrived to the neighborhood, they said the two victims were still tied up, their hands and feet bound. It happened inside the Estuary at Grey Oaks, a gated community. Naples Police said the suspects entered through the back patio of the home while the residents were watching television in their living room. The suspects were armed and wearing masks, they bound the victims feet and demanded their car keys. We're told the suspects were men and they left with money, jewelry, and a 2013 Rolls Royce. Police found the car nearby shortly after.
Just weeks ago, suspects duct taped a family inside a house on Naples Bay. And there were also two other home invasions in Golden Gate. Officials said this isn't the norm for the county. Residents of the Estuary said they are concerned.
"There are some similarities on each of them and there are also some differences on each of them so we can't infatically tell you they're all connected," said Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk.
"We were advised to constantly have our alarms are on and doors locked but I can't live with having an alarm on constantly," a resident told WINK News.
The Naples Police Department and the Collier County Sheriff's Office said they are working together to catch the people responsible for this crime and the other home invasions.
