LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The Dunbar neighborhood and high school are named after renowned African American Author & Poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, though he never lived there.

Taunya Cola, a mother at the corner of High and Blount streets, is said to be Dunbar's most caring resident. She's the coordinator of the Dunbar Neighborhood Watch, and the group expects unity in the community.

Taunya knows better than anyone that when the sun goes down in Dunbar, the crime rate goes up. Her nephew was killed two years ago, and ever since then, Taunya's mission has been to save lives, drive out the drugs, and give Dunbar kids a chance to live past 21.

With all the drugs, violence, guns and crime, how can a Neighborhood Watch attempt to make a difference?

Taunya says it's not just one person's responsibility, and that they are all wondering who's child will be next. She says she has to try.
