LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The former head of the Harborside Event Center is suing the City of Fort Myers, claiming racial discrimination.

Rose Rundle was fired last June for allowing one of her subordinate staff members to live at her house, and for alledgedly showing favoritism.

Rundle's lawyer claims City Manager William Mitchell has a history of preferential treament for African American women, and that Rundle was fired because she is Caucasian.

Rundle is seeking more than $600,000 in damages.
