LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Former Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall will not be required to pay the federal government after pleading guilty to wire fraud, according to a Lee County judge.

Prosecutors asked her debt to be waved because hall already paid back the people for the stolen funds.

Hall admitted to misusing over $33,000 in campaign funds to spend on her mortgage and a shopping spree. She's now serving a six-month sentence at the Coleman Federal Correctional Complex, near Orlando.
