COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - "I want to know what's been happening or what's going on."

The death of 20 year old Lonnie Mostiller has left his parents heartbroken.  "Oh god, oh god." They tell WINK News, they both spoke to him late Monday night.

"He sounded okay."

But now they know something was not okay. The Collier County Sheriff's Office said around 11 Monday night, Mostiller tried forcing his way into a home on Lakewood Boulevard. He screamed for help the whole time. When that didn't work, detectives said he crashed through a dining room window and attacked the homeowner. Deputies found Mostiller across the street, bleeding. He asked them not to kill him.

"I was shocked when I heard the news."

WINK News did some digging and found this is not Mostiller's first run-in with officers. Last year, he was accused of fighting with paramedics who tried to help him. An arrest report obtained by WINK News said during that incident, Mostiller was aggravated and yelling "Don't kill me." Still, his mother Barbara Davis told WINK News he was doing okay.

"He had problems through the years up and down, but really he was a good kid."

As of Tuesday night,  detectives haven't released a cause of death.
