COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - Southbound I-75 has reopened after a vehicle fire at mile marker 77 at 9:40 a.m.
A truck hauling eight vehicles blew a tire, causing the hydraulic line to rupture, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver pulled off the road and attempted to put out the fire himself, to no avail. The fire department arrived on the scene and extinguished the flames.
The road reopened at 12:15 p.m.
Cleanup will continue throughout the day.
