PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives are requesting the public's assistance to identify a woman who used a credit card taken from a vehicle burglary in North Port at a Port Charlotte convenience store in February.

On Monday, a Manatee County woman reported to the North Port Police Department that someone had illegally entered her vehicle while it was parked overnight within their jurisdiction. During their investigation, they learned that the victim’s credit card was used at about 4:19 a.m. that same day at the Shell Gas Station, located at 1783 Tamiami Trail. They referred the use of the credit card investigation to the Sheriff’s Office Economic Crimes Unit.

The woman appears to be of average height and build with dark hair pulled to the back. She was wearing a black long-sleeved sweater-type top with black Capri-length pants. The attached photos taken from the surveillance cameras are of the best quality possible with the available resources.

Anyone with information concerning the identity of the woman involved in this case is asked to please call the Sheriff’s Office at (941) 639-2101 (ask for Economic Crimes), or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
