FORT MYERS, Fla. - Monday, airlines have cancelled more than 2,200 flights.  At RSW, a handful of arrivals and departures that have been cancelled.

Many are in and out of those cities like Washington D.C., Philadelphia and Boston.

Since December first, airlines have cancelled more than 87-thousand domestic flights.  That's a record number.  Carriers like the New York-based Jet Blue were among the hardest hit airlines scrapping 23 percent of its flights.

"It was two when I left and that's just the whether that's not including the windchill factor, with the windchill factor it was something like 15 below it was horrible it was absolutely horrible, I'm just glad I was able to get out when I could," says Arni Sensnovis.
