FORT MYERS, Fla. - Lee County Sheriff's have arrested Hope Kimber, 25,for her involvement in a deputy-involved shooting at the Pilot truck stop, located at 6050 Plaza Drivem early Sunday morning.

Kimber was not injured, but the male subject, who was struck once by gunfire, remains hospitalized.

Kimber is charged with Vehicle Theft and Dealing in Stolen Property.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., deputies were checking out a possible stolen vehicle at one of the gas station pumps. As deputies tried to initiate contact, the driver rammed two squad cars and attempted to run over deputies in an attempt to get away. Deputies were forced to engage the male subject. He continued to drive away at a high rate of speed. A short distance later, he crashed the vehicle into a parked truck and ran from the vehicle. He was immediately captured and was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No deputies were injured.
