LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Lee County detectives are asking the public's help in identifying three suspects in a smash and grab car burglary that occurred in Lakes Park.
On Tuesday, February 18, deputies were dispatched to Lakes Park in reference to a car burglary. While the victims were taking a walk in the park, the rear passenger window had been smashed and a purse with multiple credit cards was stolen from their vehicle.
During the investigation, it was learned that the credit cards had been used within the past couple hours at three local drug stores. Deputies responded to the three drug stores to get surveillance footage of the suspects using the credit cards. The suspects went to Walgreens at 9170 Daniels Parkway, CVS at 9150 Kings Crossing, and CVS at 11500 Bonita Beach Road. They purchased numerous items with the credit cards.
The first suspect is described as a black male, heavy-set, wearing a black t-shirt and a black baseball hat. The second suspect is described as a black male, medium build, wearing a green t-shirt (possibly a Kool-aid shirt). The third suspect is described as a black male, thin build, wearing a white tank top and appears to have dread-style hair in a ponytail.
