GOLDEN GATE ESTATES, Fla.- Law enforcement in Collier County are investigating whether a series of home robberies in the county are related. There have been at least three in the last month, and investigators say they're looking into similarities.

One of the home invasions happened in a neighborhood along White Boulevard. A Sheriff's Office report says the family was home when five masked, armed suspects entered their home, bound them with duct tape and rummaged through the house. That happened on the 13th.

Monday, a similar M.O. was used to rob a house south of downtown Naples. Police said two masked, armed suspects entered a high-end home on 17th Street, bound the family in duct tape, held them at gunpoint and stole valuables from the house. Naples police said as a standard procedure, when they come across crimes with similarities, they look into whether they might be related.

There was also a home invasion on Golden Oaks Lane a week ago, which is about 12 minutes by car from White Blvd. The victim in that case told the Sheriff's Office he was sitting in his living room when two men entered his home with guns and demanded money. He said he tried to escape, but was injured.
