LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Lee County is threatening to sue VR Labs, as soon as one month from now.
A law firm, representing the county, has sent a letter to VR, finding the company in default on its contract with Lee.
VR received $4.7 million from taxpayers, several years ago, and is supposed to bottle health drinks at a facility in San Carlos Park. So far, it has not done so, because of a series of legal and other obstacles.
The county is demanding that VR re-pay the money, produce a lot of jobs immediately, or face a lawsuit.
The Bonita Springs-based company has 30 days to comply, or be sued.
