LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- The Lee County Sheriff's Office arrested a 30-year-old Isleidy Sotolongo and 36-year-old Abel Montes-Chiu yesterday after reportedly finding an elaborate marijuana cultivation operation in their home at 146 Wanatah Ave. S. An 8-year-old child and a newborn baby also lived in the home.

According to their arrest report, Montes-Chiu gave deputies consent to search his home. Once inside, they discovered a bedroom that was completely converted for the purposes of growing marijuana.

Deputies allegedly found 20 plants, fluorescent lights, electrical ballasts, fans, an elaborate lighting system, and growing paraphernalia in the home.

Montes-Chiu and Sotolongo were placed under arrest for marijuana cultivation, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
