Naples, Fl - Chuck Kelly says a motorist, trying to get around a group of cyclists, slammed into him causing multiple injuries. Kelly says he was thrown more than 30 feet from the violent impact. Kelly says he and approximately 60 other riders, including his wife and son, were out on a routine ride when the accident occurred. The avid rider says he broke several ribs, fractured his shoulder blade and punctured a lung. He says he will not be deterred from riding but wishes motorists would follow the laws of sharing the road with cyclists. "There is a 3 foot rule.  Don't get any closer to the cyclist than 3 feet."
