LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a copper wiring theft from a vacant building at 17220 San Carlos Blvd.
Deputies were called to the scene on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. by an employee of Phatgrass Lawn Care. He was hired by West Marine, the owner of the building, to perform lawn care. He noticed seven air conditioning units, located at the back of the building, had copper wiring removed from them. The landscaper told deputies that during his last visit on February 2, all of the units were intact. All other points of entry were secured and not disturbed.
