LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating after someone set a Lehigh woman's car on fire and painted a racial slur on her garage. Deputies were alerted by neighbors across the street who heard explosions.
"I can't help being black," Kela Hunte said. "I've got my kids who live here. I go to work and come home."
Hunte believes the vandalism may have been intended for someone else who'd previously lived in the home. Now, the mother is worried an act of vandalism could turn to physical violence.
