Naples, Fla. - A Southwest Florida non-profit organization is celebrating after raising more than $300,000 for children in need.
Youth Haven held its fourth annual luncheon at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples Beach Resort in January. This year's theme was "Rebuilding Children's Lives," and featured speaker was Antwone Fisher. Fisher is known as an accomplished film and literary writer, as well as the subject of the 2002 movie, Antwone Fisher, starring Denzel Washington. WINK News Reporter Nicole Papageorge had the honor of emceeing the luncheon.
Youth Haven runs the area's only residential emergency shelter for abused, neglected, or abandoned children.
